Restaurant de Castro Elias

Restaurant de Castro Elias

Miguel Castro e Silva became one of the most talented and original creators of Portuguese cuisine at the famous Bull & Bear restaurant in the city of Porto. When he moved to Lisbon he first opened this restaurant close to the Gulbenkian Museum where he serves a menu of tapas-style dishes in a white minimalist space. The dishes are reasonably priced and are meant to be shared at the table, while for a more elaborate menu from the same chef head to Largo restaurant in a more formal space in Chiado.

Lisbon's most ambitious restaurant had its efforts recognized by a Michelin star in its first year. It's found at the top of Park Eduardo VII and offers views across the city towards the river. The cutting-edge cuisine served in a sophisticated and contemporary space make it one of the city's most memorable gastronomic experiences that should be enjoyed slowly.
