Between Alfama and Castelo

The hotel is located in the Alfama district, one of the oldest in Lisbon. Take a short walk to reach St. George Castle, Lisbon Cathedral and Graça Convent.

In the surroundings you can see Comércio Square, the ruins of Carmo Convent, Rossio Square, Bicos House, Fado Museum, National Pantheon and Bairro Alto.

Lisbon is known as the 7 hills town, therefore you can find several breathtaking sightseeing spots, like Sta. Justa, Sta. Luzia, Graça or Sra. do Monte.

Enjoying Portugal and Lisbon, it is essential to eat well, so we leave you our suggestions:

Gambrinus

Gambrinus

This Lisbon institution open since 1936 is found right in the center of the city, on a street lined with touristy restaurants fighting for the attention of those passing by. But this one is one of Lisbon's top restaurants, and a must for seafood lovers. Everything arrives on your plate cooked to perfection, making the high prices seem quite reasonable.

Bica do Sapato

The hippest restaurant in Lisbon for over a decade is still the place to see and be seen. It's known for being co-owned by actor John Malkovich, but has remained popular mostly for its excellent gourmet cuisine and attractive minimalist space. It's found in a renovated riverfront warehouse in front of Santa Apolonia train station and serves mostly contemporary Portuguese dishes, while upstairs is the place for some of the best sushi in the city.
